How to photograph artwork with your iPhone
You don't need a scanner or elaborate photography setup to get a good digital image of physical artwork. A few simple steps can make a significant difference.
1. Start with even light
Soft daylight or another broad, diffuse light source works well. Try to avoid strong directional light that creates glare or hard shadows across the artwork.
2. Keep the camera reasonably square
Hold your iPhone as parallel to the artwork as practical. Cerulean can correct perspective afterward, so it doesn't need to be perfect when you take the photo.
3. Fill the frame
Get close enough to capture plenty of detail while leaving enough room around the edges for cropping and perspective correction.
4. Correct perspective and lighting
